While New Jersey has been in the headlines recently for MTV's hit reality show "Jersey Shore," that's not all the buzz these days. New Jersey plans to be a leader in the electric vehicle roll out over the next five years. "The intention is to move New Jersey to the forefront of electric car use," said Assemblyman Joe Cryan, D-Union, a sponsor of several of the bills. "That in turn helps the environment."
Some proposed legislation would lead to installation of 100 EV charging stations at all NJ Turnpike rest stops! If you have ever stopped on the Turnpike, you know they are famous for their Nathan's Hot Dog stands, busy bathrooms, and TCBY frozen yogurt. All things the road tripper needs….!
Soon, it looks like this will be the new hot spot for EV drivers.
