Here at NEMA, we talk about the grid frequently, in the context of modernizing the U.S. electrical system and effectively implementing new and developing technologies. Central to this revolution is the rapid growth of renewable energy—including wind, solar, and hydroelectric—and the related expansion of microgrids, energy storage, and decentralized generation. But how does the grid work today, and what does this modernization look like?
