enLIGHTen America is heading to Cali
In late 2008, NEMA’s Lighting Systems Division embarked on a joint marketing campaign, enLIGHTen America, to promote energy-efficient lighting upgrades for new and existing buildings (commercial, industrial, and institutional) and disseminate information about lighting and lighting controls that will save energy, provide a return on investment, and increase asset value. To this end, over the last year and a half the enLIGHTen America campaign has published feature articles in major building trade press journals, distributed press releases, and presented at trade shows. Most recently, the enLIGHTen America campaign has jumped into social media with blogging (in case you weren’t sure what you’re reading) and Twitter.
Next week, the enLIGHTen America campaign hits the road. EnLIGHTen America will be presenting and exhibiting at BOMA’s “The Every Building Show” at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. Ms. Teresa Bair, Ms. Cheryl English, and Mr. James Himonas, members of the enLIGHTen America Task Force, will be giving a seminar at 9:45am, Monday, 28 June, on the Commercial Building Tax Deduction Program (CBTD). In the seminar, they will be providing details about what the payback and annual return on investment will be when you reduce energy consumption by installing more efficient lighting and automatic controls. The seminar is designed to arm you with the information needed to investigate your opportunity to take advantage of the CBTD.
Additionally, the enLIGHTen America representatives will be available for additional questions and advice at Booth #1111 on the BOMA exhibit hall floor. The exhibit hall will be open Monday, 28 June, from 11am-7pm and Tuesday, 29 June, from 11am-2:30pm.
If you’d like to get a head start or will be unable to make to the seminar on the CBTD, please visit the Commercial Lighting Tax Deduction and enLIGHTen America websites for details about what buildings and projects may be eligible and how to qualify.
