How do you raise awareness for EVSE? Propose installing it in Senate garages!
Yesterday, the Senate Rules and Administration Committee agreed to S. 739, a bill to authorize the Architect of the Capitol to install Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) in Senate garages at no net cost to the taxpayer. The bill is now eligible for Senate consideration.
This is a small but important step to increasing awareness and adoption of EVSE. If passed by the Senate, decision makers will have the opportunity to get an up-close and personal look at this exciting technology, and hopefully see the many benefits attached to it.
NEMA will continue its advocacy on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies for commonsense reforms to this outdated and inefficient process.
