IEC Pleased to Announce Re-admission of IRAN

Late Friday, June 20th, Geneva based International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) announced the immediate re-admission of the IEC National Committee of Iran as IEC’s 83rd member.  In its pronouncement, the IEC stated that the re-admission was made possible by the payment of Iran’s outstanding annual membership dues. IEC Suspends IRAN

Geneva based International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) announced the immediate suspension of the IEC National Committee of Iran.  The suspension applies to the Institute of Standards & Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) which participates in IEC’s Conformity Assessment Systems.  Iran is the second country to have been suspended by IECEE. IECEE-CB Scheme Suspends Brazil for Infringement
